£140 – £160 per day

We are seeking adaptable and confident Sixth Form Cover Teachers to manage post-16 study sessions and pre-set lessons across a range of subjects in Rainham (RM13).

This role is ideal for qualified teachers who want flexible daily work in a mature educational environment without the burden of lesson planning, marking, or subject-specific prep.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervision & Delivery: Overseational cover by delivering pre-set work across various Key Stage 5 (A-Level / Level 3) classes.
• Independent Study Support: Maintain a focused, quiet, and productive environment for students completing independent study tasks or coursework.
• Classroom Management: Manage post-16 learning spaces with a mature, supportive approach appropriate for 16-19-year-olds.
• Handover & Feedback: Ensure all work is collected, attendance is accurately registered, and clear notes are left for returning subject staff.
• Safeguarding: Uphold school welfare and safeguarding standards at all times.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or proven post-16 teaching experience (Essential).
• Specialist subject knowledge at Key Stage 5 / A-Level level.
• An Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness to process one).
• Full Right to Work in the UK (Sponsorship is not available for this position).
• Two professional references covering recent teaching or educational employment.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and subject-delivery skills.
