We’re currently recruiting an experienced Loading Shovel Operator to join a busy recycling and waste management facility in Leicester (LE4).
This is a full-time, ongoing opportunity with consistent hours and a great team environment.
The Role
- Operating a loading shovel safely and efficiently around the site.
- Loading waste and recyclable materials into hoppers, bays, containers and processing equipment.
- Moving, stockpiling and segregating materials within the yard.
- Feeding processing lines to ensure continuous production.
- Completing daily vehicle and equipment checks, reporting any defects.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Following all site health & safety procedures and traffic management rules.
- Assisting with general site duties and labouring tasks when required.
- Supporting production targets while maintaining high safety standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience operating a Loading Shovel is essential.
- Loading Shovel licence/certificate (NPORS, CPCS or equivalent preferred). If you hold another recognised qualification, please let us know.
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Reliable with a strong work ethic.
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
