Our client, a well-established housing provider, is seeking an experienced Painter & Decorator to join their voids (empty properties) refurbishmentteam.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson with experience working in residential properties, delivering high-quality decorating and repair work while providing excellent customer service.
The Role
Working across a portfolio of residential properties, you will be responsible for carrying out internal and external painting and decorating works to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing surfaces for painting and decorating, including filling, sanding and making good.
- Carrying out internal and external decorating works.
- Assessing repair requirements and identifying the most effective solutions.
- Identifying issues such as damp and mould and carrying out appropriate remedial decoration.
- Using mobile technology to receive, update and complete work orders.
- Working safely at all times in line with Health & Safety regulations, COSHH and safe working practices.
Requirements
- Experienced painter/decorator
- Previous experience within social housing, property maintenance or domestic repairs is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Experience using handheld devices or mobile job management systems.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
- Full UK driving licence.
