Health And Safety Advisor

A global specialist manufacturing organisation are currently recruiting for a Senior HSE Advisor to join their business on an interim basis for an initial 3-month contract.

Working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance while promoting a positive safety culture across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation and company standards.
• Lead risk assessments, COSHH management and safe systems of work.
• Support incident investigations, audits and corrective actions.
• Conduct shop floor inspections, behavioural observations and safety engagement.
• Deliver HSE training, toolbox talks and inductions.
• Support environmental compliance and contractor management.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality and HR teams to drive continuous improvement.

About You:

• NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum).
• Previous HSE experience within manufacturing, engineering or an industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation.
• Experience of risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• A proactive, practical approach with a passion for improving safety culture.

Desirable:

• NEBOSH Diploma (or working towards).
• IOSH membership.
• Experience within a regulated or safety-critical industry.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
