HGV Driver
Right Now Group are recruiting for an experienced HGV Driver on behalf of a specialist high-value freight forwarding business based in Feltham.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a secure logistics operation responsible for the transportation of high-value and time-critical consignments across the UK, with occasional deliveries into Europe. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring valuable shipments are delivered safely, securely and on time whilst maintaining the highest standards of customer service and professionalism.
We welcome applications from both Class 1 (Category C+E) and Class 2 (Category C) drivers.
Key Responsibilities of an HGV Driver
- Safely collect and deliver high-value and time-critical consignments across the UK and occasionally Europe.
- Ensure all freight is loaded, secured and transported in accordance with company procedures.
- Complete delivery documentation and compliance paperwork accurately.
- Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report any defects.
- Liaise with warehouse and operations teams to ensure deliveries are completed on time.
- Deliver exceptional customer service whilst representing the business professionally at all times.
Skills & Experience Required for an HGV Driver
- Valid UK Class 1 (Category C+E) or Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous experience driving HGV vehicles within a logistics or transport environment.
- Strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Professional, reliable and flexible approach to work.
- Experience transporting high-value or secure goods would be advantageous.
Security Requirements for an HGV Driver
Due to the secure nature of this role, the successful candidate must be able to complete:
- 10-year checkable employment and education history.
- Additional security screening where required.
Salary & Benefits for an HGV Driver
- Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum
- Location: Feltham
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:30
- Full training provided within a specialist high-value logistics operation.
- Opportunity to work with high-value and time-critical freight.
