Location: Sittingbourne, Kent Salary: £21,500 – £23,500 DOE Type: Permanent Role Hours: Monday – Thursday 06:00am – 14:15pm The Role We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Bench Operative to join a busy manufacturing client. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, finishing, and checking components to ensure they meet the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Carry out bench assembly and production tasks.
- Assemble components using hand tools and small power tools.
- Read and follow basic engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Carry out drilling, filing, deburring, cutting and finishing as required.
- Inspect components to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Identify and report any defects or issues.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working area.
- Meet production targets while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Follow company health & safety procedures at all times.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in a bench operative, assembly, manufacturing or production role is advantageous.
- Previous experience within a sheet metal or manufacturing environment.
- Good attention to detail and quality-focused approach.
- Able to use hand power tools safely.
- Ability to follow technical drawings and instructions.
