A growing and well-established manufacturing business in County Armagh is seeking an ambitious Junior Accountant to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their accounting career within a supportive environment, gaining exposure to a broad range of finance duties and reporting responsibilities. The RoleWorking closely with an experienced finance team, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day accounting operations while developing your skills across financial reporting, reconciliations, compliance, and analysis. The position offers excellent exposure for candidates who are studying towards a professional qualification or looking to progress within finance.
Key Responsibilities
? Processing and maintaining accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger records.
? Reconciling bank accounts, supplier statements, customer accounts, and credit cards.
? Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
? Supporting VAT returns, payroll-related submissions, and regulatory compliance requirements.
? Maintaining stock records and assisting with monthly reporting processes.
? Supporting audit activities and helping improve financial processes and controls.
? Providing general administrative support and assisting with ad hoc projects.
What We’re Looking For
? Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
? 1-3 years’ experience within an accounting or finance role.
? Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
? Proficiency in Excel and accounting software packages.
? Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical ability.
? Part-qualified or studying towards ACCA/CIMA viewed favourably.
