TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming 3-form entry primary school in Ilford that is looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision on a full-time basis.
The Role
- Supporting pupils within the school’s specialist SEND provision.
- Building positive relationships to help pupils feel safe, engaged, and ready to learn.
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and therapists to deliver tailored support.
- Using positive behaviour strategies to support emotional regulation.
- Encouraging independence, confidence and social development.
- Helping create a calm, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with children with SEND and/or SEMH needs.
- A calm, patient and resilient approach.
- Excellent behaviour management skills.
- A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team.
- A DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one).
