HGV Class 2 Skip Driver

Location:Kniveton, Ashbourne, DE6 1JFPay Rate:17.69 per hourHours:Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (7:00am start)

We are currently recruiting for an experiencedHGV Class 2 Skip Driverto join our client’s team based in Kniveton, Ashbourne.

This is a full-time role where you will safely and efficiently operate a skip vehicle, transporting waste materials to and from customer sites while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining the highest safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate an HGV Class 2 skip vehicle for waste collection and delivery
• Plan efficient routes to maximise productivity
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects
• Load, transport and deliver waste materials in line with company procedures
• Provide a professional and friendly service to customers
• Ensure customer sites are left clean and tidy
• Comply with all Health & Safety, Driver Hours and road traffic regulations
• Wear PPE and maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness and presentation

Requirements

• Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Valid Driver CPC qualification
• Digital tachograph card
• Previous HGV driving experience (waste management experience is desirable)
• Good knowledge of vehicle safety and maintenance
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual handling duties
• Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work independently
