Financial Services Firm is hiring for an experienced Application DevOps Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team supporting critical technology platforms.This is a hands-on role focused on Python automation, production stability, application resilience and continuous improvement within a complex, high-volume technology environment. You will work across application, infrastructure and engineering teams to improve the reliability, scalability and operational performance of business-critical platforms.
Responsibilities:* Develop Python-based automation and tooling to improve operational efficiency.* Support and enhance critical production applications and services.* Drive improvements across resilience, availability, performance and capacity.* Manage deployments, releases, production readiness and failover activities.* Implement monitoring, alerting and observability solutions.* Troubleshoot complex application, infrastructure and batch-processing issues.* Identify root causes and deliver sustainable technical solutions.* Contribute to CI/CD, automation and wider DevOps and engineering best practices.
Skills and Experience:* Strong Python development skills, particularly for automation & operational tooling.* Experience in DevOps, Production Engineering, Platform Engineering or SRE.* Experience supporting business-critical, high-availability applications.* Good understanding of CI/CD, deployment, monitoring and software development lifecycles.* Knowledge of distributed systems, resilience, failover and capacity management.* Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across applications and infrastructure.* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.* Proactive approach with strong ownership and problem-solving capability.
It would be an added advantage if you had any of the following:* Financial Services, Capital Markets or Trading Technology experience.* Exposure to risk, trading or regulatory technology.* Cloud, containers and modern DevOps tooling.* Large-scale distributed or high-performance computing environments.
