Pertemps Enfield seeks a Shunter Driver Up To 26t for a full-time, temporary assignment in West Thurrock, paying £18 per hour. The working pattern runs Monday to Friday, from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. This role involves moving trailers around the yard, positioning them at loading bays, and performing daily vehicle safety checks. You will coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient, secure movements and strictly follow site health and safety protocols. Applicants need a valid UK Class 2 (Category C) licence and a current Driver CPC. This afternoon shift provides a stable routine for experienced drivers.

• West Thurrock
• Afternoon shift — 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Duties

• Shunting vehicles safely around the yard and site
• Moving trailers to loading and unloading bays
• Conducting vehicle safety checks
• Liaising with warehouse and transport teams
• Ensuring all movements are completed efficiently and safely
• Adhering to site health and safety procedures at all times

Requirements

• Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) Licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous shunting or yard experience preferred
• Good communication skills and a strong safety focus
• Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude
