About the Role

We're looking for a proactive, commercially aware and highly organised Project Manager to join our Universities team and play a key role in delivering facilities management projects that directly support world-class learning environments.

Based primarily at the University's Avery Hill Campus, you'll have the chance to work across a truly diverse and inspiring estate. You'll also contribute to projects at the historic Greenwich Campus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its stunning architecture and world-class setting, as well as the Medway Campus. This isn't your typical project role. You'll be at the heart of a fast-paced operation, managing multiple workstreams, coordinating stakeholders, driving task orders from concept through to completion, and helping to deliver real improvements across a vibrant university estate.

What you'll do

n

n

Reporting to the Head of Projects, you'll take ownership of the end-to-end Task Order process, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, compliantly and with a strong customer focus.

n

    n

  • Managing project requests from initial client instruction through to completion and invoicing.
  • n

  • Producing accurate estimates and quotations for remedial and small works projects.
  • n

  • Collaborating with operational teams, contractors, suppliers and university stakeholders.
  • n

  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
  • n

  • Monitoring project progress, milestones, budgets and reporting requirements.
  • n

  • Raising and managing purchase orders and project documentation.
  • n

  • Supporting commercial opportunities and helping identify ways to add value to our client partnership.
  • n

  • Ensuring all works are delivered safely, compliantly and in line with legislation and best practice.
  • n

  • Maintaining accurate project data, reports and tracking systems
  • n

What We’re Looking For

n

n

We're seeking someone who combines strong project coordination skills with commercial awareness and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

n

n

    n

  • Experience within Facilities Management, Building Services, Projects or Estates environments.
  • n

  • A good understanding of FM services, ideally within a university or large complex environment.
  • n

  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • n

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • n

  • Confidence working with estimates, quotations and project administration.
  • n

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • n

  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • n

  • The ability to manage competing priorities and remain calm under pressure.
  • n

  • A self-motivated approach and a continuous improvement mindset
