The Role
We are looking for a Management Accountant to join our Finance team, reporting to the Finance Manager. This is a hands-on, varied role that combines core management accounting with billing responsibility and cross-cover across other finance positions, offering real breadth and exposure within a busy professional services environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing accurate and timely management accounts, variance analysis and departmental reporting for partners and stakeholders
- Taking ownership of billing activity, ensuring bills are produced accurately and promptly
- Preparing journals, reconciliations and accounting postings
- Supporting payroll, PAYE, VAT returns and other statutory submissions
- Providing cover for the Senior Accounts Executive and/or Credit Controller during absence or peak workload
- Supporting audit, compliance and Solicitors Accounts Regulations requirements
Requirements:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Management accounting, reporting and analysis experience
- Advanced Excel and finance systems proficiency
