Customer Service Officer

Job Summary

We are currently recruiting Customer Service Advisors for the Out of Hours Service. The role involves acting as the first point of contact for emergency calls concerning Adult’s and Children’s Social Care.

Responsibilities

• Answer and triage emergency calls from professionals such as Police and Health Services and from members of the public.
• Collect, verify and process information accurately and efficiently.
• Handle calls about District Council Services, including Council Housing Repairs, and other local services such as Libraries and Heritage enquiries.

Qualifications

Relevant experience in customer service or social care support is preferred. Strong communication skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and a commitment to confidential and accurate information handling are essential.
