Management Accountant | Newry | Fixed-Term Contract, Maternity Cover
Were recruiting for a Management Accountant to join a successful business in Newry on a fixed-term contract.
This is a commercial, value-adding finance role with real exposure to the leadership team. Alongside producing accurate financial information, youll help improve reporting, develop KPIs, strengthen financial processes and support business planning and decision-making.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of Group Management Accounts
- Assisting with the development and reporting of KPIs
- Supporting preparation of the monthly Board Report
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Reviewing bank and supplier reconciliations
- Preparing UK VAT, payroll, subcontractor and other statutory returns prior to submission
- Assisting with branch CIT, VAT, payroll, subcontractor and other statutory returns
- Preparing annual financial statements and audit files
- Preparing annual budgets and business plans
- Preparing grant applications and claims
- Developing and improving financial systems and processes
- Mentoring and developing other members of the finance team
- Ensuring statutory surveys are completed on time
This role would suit an experienced accountant who enjoys getting beyond the numbers, working closely with senior stakeholders and making a genuine contribution to the wider business.
