HR Advisor (case worker)

The opportunity

A large, values-led Multi-Academy Trust is appointing an HR Adviser (Case Officer) to provide high-quality employee relations and casework support. You’ll manage a dedicated caseload and work closely with an allocated group of schools, advising leaders across a broad range of HR matters.

Key responsibilities

• Managing employee relations (ER) casework end-to-end, including:
  • Absence management
  • Grievances
  • Disciplinaries
• Advising and supporting school leaders with day-to-day HR guidance and best practice
• Working confidently within a unionised environment, supporting consultation and ensuring fair, consistent process
• Ensuring cases are handled in line with Trust policies, employment law, and agreed timescales

What we’re looking for

• Strong, demonstrable experience in a casework-focused HR/ER role
• Confident handling absence, grievance and disciplinary processes
• Experience working in a unionised setting (highly important) and knowledge of local authoritys T&C’s
• CIPD qualification is not essential—relevant experience is the priority
