KBB Recruitment are representing a long-established and respected builders merchant with a strong presence across the South East. This role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to become a key part of a busy and customer-focused builders merchant branch.
Key Responsibilities –
Yard Duties
- Assisting customers to locate and load materials
- Loading and unloading supplier and customer vehicles
- Keeping the yard clean, organised, and safe
- Carrying out stock checks and reporting damages or shortages
- Following all Health & Safety and PPE requirements
Driving Duties
- Delivering building materials to customers using a company van (up to 3.5t)
- Planning efficient delivery routes in line with schedules
- Ensuring loads are secured and paperwork is completed accurately
- Providing friendly, professional customer service on every delivery
Requirements/Skills:
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience in a builders merchant, trade, or construction environment
- Good knowledge of building materials (desirable)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and outdoor work
- Reliable, flexible, and a strong team player
