Chief Financial Officer

Harmonic are delighted to lead the search for a London-based frontier AI lab that have raised one the largest Series A rounds in UK history.

The Role:

First senior finance hire, reporting to the co-founders. This is a commercial and strategic role, not a reporting one. The company sells something technically complex and capital-intensive, with novel unit economics, and the CFO will be the person who turns that into a financial model, a pricing strategy, and a set of deal structures that actually work. This is the seat if you want to sit at the centre of the business rather than behind it.

Core Initial Focus:

• The financial model the company runs on, built from scratch to reflect a business that does not fit standard templates.
• Product and pricing economics, including the commercial strategy for how the company charges for what it delivers.
• Financial structuring of significant capital commitments as the business scales its infrastructure.

Who This Is:

• A commercial finance leader who has built, not inherited, in a high-growth environment.
• You will have operated in a capital-intensive or infrastructure-heavy technology business.
• Compute, Semiconductor, Defence, Energy & Telecoms backgrounds are all relevant. What we are looking for above all is someone with the credibility and communication skills to be a genuine partner to a highly technical founding team.
