Lead Payment Operations Analyst

What You’ll Be Doing

• Collaborate with senior stakeholders and communicate insights to drive change.
• Identify potential risks, analyze their impact, and propose metrics to monitor and manage them.
• Own and track key metrics and results for the organization, ensuring accountability each quarter.
• Work with auditors, risk partners, and stakeholders to test the effectiveness of existing controls and communicate findings.
• Prevent financial losses and maintain compliance through early identification of data trends.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, prepare reports, create visualisations, and deliver presentations that expose data in actionable ways.

Qualifications

• Experience with SQL and building data pipelines; dbt experience preferred.
• Strong quantitative skills; background in statistics, math, engineering, or related fields.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate insights into persuasive narratives.
• Capability to structure business problems independently and prioritise collaboratively.
• Proactive mindset – go beyond analysis to deliver outcomes.
• Experience with data visualisation tools (Looker, PowerBI, Tableau) and storytelling with data.

Nice to Have

• Fintech experience in payments (domestic, cross‑border, cards).
• Experience in risk analytics, control assurance, or operational analytics.
• Experience with user‑facing products and data.
• Python programming.
