I’m working exclusively on a Health & Safety Officer opportunity with a leading consumer-facing organisation, supporting a large, multi-site operational estate.
n
n
This is a genuinely hands-on role where around 80% of the focus is consumer-facing, so we’re looking for someone who understands Health & Safety in live environments where customers, members of the public and operational teams are present.

What we’re looking for:

Non-negotiables:

- n
- NEBOSH General Certificate
- Experience within a consumer-facing industry
- Practical understanding of building safety
n
n
n
n
n
Experience across fitness, leisure, wellness, retail, retail parks, hospitality, education, public services or facilities management would be particularly relevant.
n
n
Building safety experience
n
You don’t need to be a construction specialist, but you should be comfortable dealing with building/site safety, risk assessments, management plans, contractors and operational risks.
n
n
CDM experience is highly desirable, but not essential.
n
n
The role:
n
You’ll be responsible for supporting Health & Safety across multiple locations, working closely with operational teams and stakeholders.
n
Key areas include:
n
• Site inspections and audits
n
• Risk assessments
n
• Building safety
n
• Health & Safety management plans
n
• Incident and accident investigation
n
• Contractor management
n
• Compliance
n
• Supporting refurbishment/construction activity
n
• Advising operational managers
n
• Managing a multi-site diary and site visit schedule
n
• Driving a proactive Health & Safety culture
n
n
Location & Working Arrangement
n
Fully remote, with regular travel to various sites across the organisation’s estate.
n
Candidates should ideally be based within approximately 50 miles of SW4 to meet the role's travel requirements.
