Based in Leeds | hybrid working available (3 days required in office)

Full-Time & Permanent role

Search Consultancy are delighted to be working with one of our long-standing clients in Leeds to recruit for a new Head of HR.

n

n

The successful candidate will be responsible for comprehensive leadership of the HR team, ensuring that a professional & first-class HR service is provided throughout the organisation.

n

n

This role would ideally suit an accomplished HR leader from a Professional Services or Corporate setting who is looking to join a modern & forward-thinking company with a clear progression pathway in the medium/long term to Director level. Duties involved in this role will include:

n

    n

  • Work closely with the senior management team across the business to support the delivery of strategic HR goals and objectives
  • n

  • Provide generalist HR support and advice on a wide range of issues across the business including recruitment and selection, employment legislation, performance management and HR policies
  • n

  • Coach managers on how to engage and retain talent & deal with ER issues effectively – stepping in to support with ER where required
  • n

  • Contribute to change management and restructuring initiatives including consulting with groups and individuals
  • n

  • Design and deliver training and development workshops for core skills & leadership development
  • n

  • Effective line management of the HR team
  • n

  • Monitoring team performance, productivity, and quality measures to identify progress towards business objectives
  • n

  • Conduct regular 1-2-1 meetings and annual performance reviews with team members, discussing work progress, development, attendance and other ad hoc issues
  • n

  • Ensure that company values are central to personal work behaviours, decision making, contributions and interactions
  • n

  • Travelling to other offices across the group as required
  • n

n

In order to be considered for this role your skills and experience should include:

n

    n

  • Extensive previous HR leadership experience in an HR Management role or above with duties in line with the above spec, as well as a varied & demonstrable HR Generalist background – this experience is ESSENTIAL, the client is not looking to consider candidates looking for a “step up” into HR leadership for this role
  • n

  • Proven capability and a strong track record in leading, managing and developing an HR team
  • n

  • Candidates who are CIPD qualified would be very much preferred for this role
  • n

  • First class communication skills – both written & verbal
  • n

  • Solid IT skills including Microsoft Office, with the ability to pick up new systems quickly
  • n

  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise & manage your workload effectively
  • n
