Technical Services Manager (Mechanical Bias) Up to £90K plus package London THE HOOK
WHY THIS MATTERS
Our client is a leading main contractor delivering complex, high-value commercial projects across London. They’ve built their reputation on technically challenging schemes executed to exceptional standards—the kind of work that gets noticed in the industry. The £130m development you’d join is their flagship. It’s genuinely long-term. It’s genuinely well-resourced. And they’ve already placed experienced people on site, which means you’re walking into a team that knows what it’s doing, not a startup where you’re teaching everyone else.
WHAT YOU’LL ACTUALLY GAIN
You’ll manage the mechanical package from preconstruction through commissioning and handover, reporting directly to senior project leadership. So what? You’ll have real authority over design coordination, quality assurance, and the subcontractor interface—which means you’re not fighting battles upwards; you’re making decisions. Which means the frustration of being overruled disappears. You’ll work closely with consultants, design teams, and site management, all of whom respect technical expertise because this business is built on it. So what? Your opinion carries weight. Which means you’re not implementing someone else’s vision; you’re shaping how a major project actually gets delivered.
THE REALITY
This is a central London-based role. You’ll need to commute regularly to site and be within reasonable proximity. It’s not a desk job, and it’s not remote.
