Job Description:
The State of South Carolina’s Office of Materials and Research Asphalt Verification Laboratory in York conducts complex testing of asphalt mixtures, including binder content, bulk specific gravity, maximum specific gravity, air voids, VMA and gradations.
The role coordinates sampling with District Asphalt Managers and senior field inspectors, and may supervise contracted CE&I staff. It also performs statistical analysis and maintains accreditation records per AASHTO R-18 and SCDOT procedures.
