Your Role as NursingHome Manager
As Care Home Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the leadership, quality, compliance and commercial performance of the home.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the day-to-day operation of the 35-bed care home.
- Maintaining high standards of person-centred care and resident experience.
- Ensuring full compliance withCQC regulations and regulatory requirements.
- Driving continuous improvement across quality, care and operational performance.
- Recruiting, developing, motivating and retaining a high-performing care team.
- Providing visible and supportive leadership to colleagues across the home.
- Managing staffing levels, rotas, agency usage and workforce costs effectively.
- Taking responsibility for budgets and overall financial performance.
- Supporting occupancy and building the home’s reputation within the local community.
- Developing strong relationships with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for an experienced care home leader with a strong understanding of quality, compliance, people management and operational performance.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience as aCare Home Manager, Registered Manager, Nursing Home Manager or senior care home leader.
- Strong knowledge ofCQC regulations, compliance and quality frameworks.
- A track record of maintaining or improvingGood or Outstanding CQC standards.
- ALevel 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care, or an equivalent management qualification.
- Strong leadership and people-management skills.
- Experience managing budgets, staffing and operational performance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
A nursing qualification with an activeNMC PINwould be advantageous, although this isnot essentialfor the position.
