Salary Range: £48,822.00 – £56,535.00

Overall purpose of the role
The post holder will provide professional and operational leadership for the University’s mental health service, ensuring safe, effective, and consistent delivery of support to students.
Core responsibilities
- Functional leadership of mental health provision (staff, practice, processes)
- Operational leadership across the wider Wellbeing & Success service
- Line manage and develop mental health practitioners
- Lead key operational processes (including Support for Study)
- Maintain service quality, governance, and consistency
- Support the Associate Director in operationalising institutional frameworks and responding to risk
- Hold, for Mental Health provision operational delivery, standards, and complex case oversight exercise professional expertise and judgement, working with a high degree of autonomy
- Be responsible for adapting and improving mental health service delivery, ensuring quality and responsiveness contribute to operational planning, monitoring, and performance management
- Influence practice and contribute to service development across the wider area
- Manage relationships between teams and stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration
