Estimator

We are seeking an Estimator to join a busy construction and engineering team. The successful candidate will prepare accurate cost estimates, review drawings and specifications, and support projects to stay within budget.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Key duties:

• Carry out steel take-offs from drawings, specifications and bills of quantities.
• Prepare cost estimates and detailed quotations for structural steelwork, staircases, balustrades and architectural metalwork.
• Work with project managers, suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing.
• Follow health and safety, quality and CE marking procedures.
• Handle customer enquiries, provide pricing and support stock purchasing and control.

Requirements:

• Experience as an Estimator or similar role within construction or engineering.
• Good understanding of steelwork and engineering principles.
• Strong maths, analytical and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
• Good communication skills and a full driving licence.
• AutoCAD experience is desirable but not essential.
