HGV Technician
Salary: Up to £25 per hour
Location: EH49
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm
Additional Hours: Up to 10 hours overtime available
About the Role
Kemp Recruitment are currently working with a well-established commercial vehicle business who are looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for either a fully qualified HGV Technician or an experienced time-served Technician looking for a stable Monday to Friday role with excellent earning potential.
You will be working on a modern fleet of Scania and Volvo HGVs, carrying out a wide range of maintenance, servicing, diagnostics and repair work.
The Role
As an HGV Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out routine servicing and preventative maintenance
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
- Completing inspections and safety checks
- Carrying out repairs to HGVs and associated equipment
- Working on Scania and Volvo vehicles
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard
- Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment
- Supporting the wider workshop team when required
About You
The successful HGV Technician will ideally have:
- Previous experience working as an HGV Technician
- Either a recognised HGV qualification or strong time-served experience
- Good knowledge of commercial vehicle maintenance and repair
- Experience working on HGVs
- Class 2 licence desirable but not essential
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
