We are seeking an ambitious, proactive Senior Social Value Co-Ordinator to lead and expand our volunteer, social value, and charitable work programmes. In this key Band 5 role, you will contribute operationally to strategic objectives by overseeing high-profile initiatives, including our Green Spaces project and the Duke of Edinburgh Activity Programme.
You will line manage a Band 4 Volunteer Co-Ordinator, leading on volunteer recruitment, induction, governance, and retention. Working autonomously, you will build dynamic corporate and community partnerships, drive targeted fundraising initiatives, and secure funding for social value projects.
This role requires strong skills in volunteer management, income generation, and stakeholder engagement. You will also develop impact-monitoring tools to measure social value outcomes, create engaging communications across internal and external channels, and collaborate with clinical and operational teams to embed therapeutic green space activities for service users.
The post holder must hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010)
- Volunteer Leadership & Management: Line manage the Band 4 Volunteer Co-Ordinator. Oversee volunteer recruitment, induction, placements, and ongoing support, ensuring robust safety governance, risk assessments, and standard operating procedures.
- Social Value & Green Spaces: Lead projects expanding green social prescribing and wellbeing initiatives. Support the financial sustainability of green spaces, including inputting into retail produce plans and therapeutic activities.
- Fundraising & Income Generation: Plan, organise, and deliver fundraising campaigns, corporate volunteer days, awareness stalls, and community appeals to meet agreed targets and secure project funding.
- Stakeholder & Corporate Engagement: Build and maintain strong networks with corporate partners, local businesses, community groups, and educational providers to drive collaboration and volunteer opportunities.
- Impact Reporting & Communications: Implement impact-monitoring tools to track and report social value outcomes. Produce content for newsletters, social media, and communications channels to raise the profile of services.
- Governance & Resource Management: Maintain compliance with relevant legislation, uphold Duty of Candour, process volunteer expenses, manage equipment, and maintain accurate administrative records across all projects.
