Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our premises, staff, and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to surveillance and loss prevention, ensuring that all security protocols are adhered to effectively.

Duties

• Monitor and patrol designated areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Conduct regular inspections of security equipment and report any malfunctions or concerns.
• Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, taking appropriate action as necessary.
• Implement loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and damage to property.
• Provide first aid assistance when required, ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals on site.
• Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, observations, and activities for management review.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement when necessary to resolve security issues.

Skills

• Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert at all times.
• Proficient in surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies.
• First aid certification is highly desirable; willingness to undergo training is essential.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for reporting incidents clearly.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
• A keen sense of judgement and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
