Mechanical and Electrical Design Manager

Design Manager – Rail M&E (MEPHFC)Location: Elephant & Castle, London (Hybrid – 3 days on site)Contract: Full-Time

Delivering MEPHFC systems for HS2’s flagship Old Oak Common Station. We’re looking for an experienced and motivated M&E Design Manager to lead engineering teams and drive high‑quality design across complex, multi-disciplinary rail projects.

What you’ll do:

• Lead and manage engineers producing MEPHFC designs
• Oversee technical assurance, BIM coordination, and design governance
• Manage programmes, mitigate risks, and ensure right‑first‑time delivery
• Collaborate with PMs, commercial teams, and stakeholders
• Champion innovation, digital solutions, and sustainable design

What you bring:

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Professional registration (IEng/CEng or equivalent)
• 2+ years Rail Design management experience
• Strong leadership, communication, and multidisciplinary coordination skills
• Excellent understanding of MEPHFC systems, design assurance, and rail standards
