Head of Finance / Financial Controller WFH / remote working / occasional travel to LondonOur client is a c£10m leading player in the Energy / Renewables / Sustainability sector, with ambitious plans to double its turnover in the next 3 – 5 years.
As part of this growth, it is seeking a Head of Finance / Financial Controller to lead the finance function and provide financial insight within the Senior Management Team to aid decision-making and achieve the company goals.
Reporting to the CEO and working very closely with the operational teams, this Head of Finance / Financial Controller role will involve:
- Manage and develop a small finance team of 3 – 4 staff
- Constant commercial input as part of the Senior Management Team
- Contribute to and review monthly management accounts and analysis
- Manage the working capital and cashflow forecasting process
- Work closely with project managers to track project profitability and WIP.
- Provide financial input into commercial bids and tenders
- Enhance financial processes, where possible, using AI
- Oversee year end audits, CIS, VAT, payroll and statutory reporting
This Head of Finance / Financial Controller role will suit an accomplished qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ACMA) with proven experience at this level, or someone ready to step up into a Number One finance role. Project accounting experience (eg construction or similar) is desirable.
