PrioryHospital Hayes Grove is looking to recruit a RegisteredPractitioner Psychologist to join our therapy team working withchildren and young people on an outpatient basis.We can provideworld-class residential treatment for a range of mental healthconditions, including treatment for depression, as well as drug andalcohol addiction treatment. The hospital also offers acomprehensive eating disorder service for adults, with inpatient,day care and outpatient support available. In addition, we provideoutpatient treatment for young people as well as private CAMHSassessments options and private autism assessments foradults.
Ourcomprehensive treatment programmes are delivered by our specialistmultidisciplinary team, who work together to create a strongsupport network for our patients. Located in Bromley, South EastLondon, Hayes Grove is one of Priory’s most renowned hospitals forour diverse range of therapeutic approaches, and we are experts inmaking assessments and advising on the best treatmentoptions.
Whatyou’ll be doing
You will be part ofa compassionate team who are committed to promoting and improvingthe mental health and wellbeing of children and young people, aswell as their families and carers. We take a personalised approach,using proven therapies to help children and young people moveforward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfillingfuture.
You will play a key role inmanaging a caseload and providing high-quality care and treatmentappropriate to the child and young persons’ needs. Day-to-dayresponsibilities will include:
- Delivering comprehensive psychological assessments,formulations, and evidence-based interventions (primarily CBT, DBT,and trauma-informed approaches) for children and young people withcomplex mental health needs.
- Developing,implementing, and regularly reviewing individualised treatmentplans, ensuring regular interaction and communication with childrenand young people, parents/carers, and other professional colleaguesor stakeholders
- Facilitating therapeuticinterventions, including one-to-one therapy sessions and structuredtherapy groups for children and young people and/or their parentsand carers, to promote emotional wellbeing andresilience.
- Providing specialist psychologicalinput to our ASC assessment pathway for children and youngpeople
- Completing approximately 53% ofthe role undertaking clinical hours, with the remaining timeallocated to non-clinical responsibilities.
- Maintaining high standards of clinical documentation,risk assessment, and outcome monitoring, ensuring compliance withprofessional, ethical, and regulatory frameworks
- Actively contributing to clinical governance, audit,service development, and research, while also supportingsupervision and reflective practice within the team

What you’ll bring to therole

- Candidates shouldhold a recognised postgraduate qualification in clinical orcounselling psychology (Doctorate in clinical or counsellingpsychology or equivalent)
- Fullregistration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) asa Practitioner Psychologist is required for this role (with noconditions or restrictions)
- A minimum ofthree-years post-qualification experience of working with childrenand young people within mental health settings isessential
- Applicants should demonstratestrong skills in psychological assessment, formulation, anddelivery of evidence-based therapies, along with the ability towork effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication, risk management, andreport-writing skills are required, alongside a commitment toongoing professional development and high standards of clinicalpractice
Please note that, due tothe demand for in-person appointments after school hours, ideallycandidates will be in a position to consider working hours of10:00am-6:00pm or11:00am-7:00pm.
