We have an exciting opportunity for Sessional Lecturers in Maths to join our team at Loughborough College Group based at Stephenson & Brooksby College.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the English and Maths team and make a positive impact on learner achievement, progression, and confidence in maths.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Functional Skills Maths provision to learners across a range of vocational areas as and when it is required. The role will involve planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing learner progress, providing timely feedback, and supporting students to achieve their qualifications.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering Functional Skills Maths lessons to learners at appropriate levels.
- Planning, preparing, and assessing learning in line with awarding body requirements.
- Monitoring learner attendance, progress, and achievement.
- Providing targeted support and intervention to help learners overcome barriers to success.
- Contributing to the wider English and Maths team and quality improvement activities.
- Maintaining accurate learner records and completing associated administrative tasks.
We are interested in hearing from people who:
- Have experience of teaching or supporting the delivery of Maths.
- Are passionate about improving learner outcomes.
- Can engage and motivate learners with a range of abilities and backgrounds.
- Demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills.
- Are committed to delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment.
A recognised teaching qualification and experience of delivering Functional Skills Maths would be advantageous, although colleagues with relevant experience and a willingness to develop will also be considered.
