Introduction
An excellent opportunity to join Chaucer Foods as a Warehouse Operative Apprentice. You will gain hands‑on experience within a busy warehouse environment, learning stock control, goods receipt and dispatch, production supply, health and safety procedures, and warehouse systems while working towards a nationally recognised qualification.

What You’ll Do
As part of the warehouse team, you will:
- Load and unload goods, checking for damaged or missing items.
- Pick and replenish stock for production requirements.
- Return products to stock following production use.
- Carry out stock checks and assist with stock control activities.
- Update warehouse paperwork and systems accurately.
- Move stock safely using manual handling techniques and warehouse equipment.
- Support waste management and recycling processes.
- Follow health and safety, quality, environmental and hygiene procedures.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards through a clean‑as‑you‑go approach.
- Work closely with colleagues across the warehouse and production teams.
- Assist with goods received, storage and dispatch operations.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties required by the business.
Training Outcome
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, the apprentice may have the opportunity to progress into a permanent Warehouse Operative role and further develop their skills within Chaucer Foods’ warehousing and logistics operations.
