Senior Reserving Actuary | London, UK

Key Responsibilities

• Lead quarterly and annual reserving analyses across multiple lines of business.




• Review reserve adequacy and provide clear recommendations to senior management.




• Deliver insights into claims trends, portfolio performance and profitability.




• Support regulatory reporting and reserve governance processes.




• Partner with underwriting, pricing and finance teams to provide actuarial expertise.




• Contribute to pricing reviews and portfolio optimisation initiatives.




• Present findings and recommendations to key internal stakeholders.




• Support the development and enhancement of reserving methodologies, tools and processes.




• Mentor junior actuarial team members and contribute to a collaborative team culture.

Requirements

• Qualified Actuary (FIA, FCAS, ACAS/CAS, or equivalent).




• Significant prior Reserving experience.




• Exposure to pricing, portfolio analytics, or underwriting support activities desirable.




• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.




• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.




• Experience working with actuarial modelling and data analysis tools.




• Commercial mindset and a proactive approach to stakeholder engagement.
