Would you like to make a difference to parking and congestion on our roads and around schools: Would you enjoy a varied role where you would focus on the delivery of community schemes to improve parking and congestion throughout Kirklees? Are you a problem solver and have excellent knowledge of electronic systems? Then we have the perfect role for you!
The Role
We’d like to hear from you if you
- Can manage a small team and help junior officers design minor traffic schemes when needed.
- Can prioritise your workloads
- Have experience of dealing with challenging customers and have a strong customer focus
- Can investigate and respond to requests from the public, Local Councillors and MPs and develop a range of solutions to a wide range of Highway Safety issues
- Have the necessary skills to work in a political environment
- Have some basic knowledge / experience of what is involved in processing ‘Traffic Regulations Orders’ and when and where they are used.
- Can consult with a wide range of people
- Can assess the potential impacts of proposed housing on the Highway Network.
