Senior Platform Engineer – North West England

Salary: £50,000 – 90,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require candidates to be willing and eligible to hold SC and eDV clearance.
• We require experience of working in an Agile, SCRUM or DevOps delivery model.
• We require experience with cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.
• We require experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Puppet, Chef or Ansible.
• We require experience building and deploying large-scale applications in Continuous Integration and Delivery pipelines.
• We require experience with container platforms and orchestration systems such as ECS, AKS, Kubernetes, Helm or Docker.
• We require experience with automation and integration tools such as Jenkins, Concourse CI or cloud equivalents.
• We require experience in scripting languages and source control.

Responsibilities:

• We deploy applications and software to cloud or on-prem environments across our business areas.
• We build and set up development tools and infrastructure.
• We understand the needs of project stakeholders.
• We automate and improve development and release processes.
• We ensure systems are safe and secure against cyber security threats.
• We identify technical problems and develop software updates and solutions.
• We work with other engineers to ensure development follows established processes and works as intended.
