Warehouse Operative

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and check incoming deliveries
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch
• Operate forklift trucks and warehouse equipment safely
• Move materials and components throughout the warehouse and production areas
• Carry out stock control, cycle counts, and inventory checks
• Use handheld scanners and warehouse management systems accurately
• Maintain clean and organised warehouse areas
• Ensure all work is completed in line with company health and safety procedures
• Work effectively as part of a team to meet operational targets and deadlines
• Report damaged stock, shortages, or safety concerns promptly

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment
• Valid forklift licence (Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck preferred)
• Good understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties
• Flexible attitude and willingness to learn new skills
