Interim Assistant Professor, Modern German Studies

University of Cambridge invites applications for an Assistant Professor in Modern German Studies, from 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter. The post is fixed-term for 3 years to cover a College headship, with career development and mentoring provided.

Candidates will have a PhD by the start date, relevant teaching experience, and an excellent command of German and English, spoken and written. The appointee will teach modern literature, culture and history, contribute to translation
