Maintenance Person – Care Home

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Maintenance Person to join our care home team and help ensure that the home is maintained to a safe, comfortable and high standard for our residents, staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general day-to-day repairs and maintenance throughout the care home.
• Undertake basic plumbing, decorating, carpentry and minor electrical tasks where appropriately qualified/competent.
• Carry out routine checks of the building, equipment and grounds.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance and maintain appropriate records.
• Carry out regular health & safety and fire-safety checks as required.
• Ensure residents’ bedrooms, communal areas and external areas are maintained to a high standard.
• Carry out refurbishment and improvement works within the home.
• Respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues.
• Ensure all work is undertaken safely and with minimal disruption to residents.
