Drivers’ Mate / Delivery Porter

Titan Recruitment Solutions Bristol are currently recruiting for reliable and customer-focused Drivers’ Mates / Delivery Porters to join a busy delivery operation based in Avonmouth.

This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates who enjoy working as part of a team, are physically fit and take pride in providing excellent customer service.

As a Drivers’ Mate / Delivery Porter, you will work alongside a driver as part of a two-person delivery team, assisting with deliveries to customers’ homes.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the driver with deliveries to customers’ homes.
• Loading and unloading goods.
• Carrying out manual handling and heavy lifting.
• Providing a friendly and professional service to customers.
• Following health & safety and manual handling procedures.
• Working effectively as part of a two-person delivery team.
• Ensuring goods are handled safely and securely.
• Representing the company professionally at customer locations.

Shift Availability

• Monday to Friday: 06:00am – 5:00pm (approximate finishing time)
• Monday to Friday: 10:30am – 9:30pm (approximate finishing time)
• Saturday: 06:00am – 5:00pm (approximate finishing time)
• Saturday: 07:00am – 6:00pm (approximate finishing time)

Requirements

• Enhanced DBS check required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Friendly, professional and reliable approach.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
• Flexible with working hours and finish times.
• Own transport is essential due to the location and limited public transport.
• Previous delivery, warehouse or customer-facing experience is beneficial but not essential.
• The induction includes manual handling and health & safety training.
• Induction hours will be paid upon successful completion of 3 working shifts.
• Please be aware that random drug and alcohol testing may take place as part of the role.
• Ongoing delivery work.
