Van Driver / Warehouse Operative – £12.71ph – Kirkby-in-Ashfield
Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are looking for a Van Driver / Warehouse Operative to join a well-established manufacturing business in Kirkby-in-Ashfield.
This is a genuine 50/50 role, combining local delivery driving with hands-on warehouse work. You’ll spend part of your day driving a company van to deliver furniture to customers across the region, with the remainder spent preparing, loading and handling products within the warehouse.
The Role:
- Driving a company van to deliver furniture to customers across the region
- Loading and unloading the van
- Handballing furniture into customers’ properties
- Preparing and loading flat-pack kitchen and bathroom furniture
- Assisting with warehouse and production duties
- Manual handling and heavy lifting
- Working as part of a busy team
This role will suit someone who enjoys being active and doesn’t want to spend their entire working day behind the wheel. You must be comfortable with lifting, carrying and handballing furniture as part of the job.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence
- Maximum 3 points on your licence
- Previous warehouse, delivery, labouring or other physically demanding experience
- Comfortable with heavy manual handling
- Reliable and hardworking
- Good customer service skills when making deliveries
Hours:
Monday-Thursday: 7:15am-4:00pmFriday: 7:15am-1:00pm
Pay:
£12.71 per hour, paid weekly
