Bid & Procurement Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a Bid Procurement Manager to support defence and C&I programmes, working closely with Business Development, Programme, Finance and Bid teams.

n

You will help shape supply chain strategies for bids, identify and engage suppliers, and ensure the supply base can support both current requirements and future programmes.

n

n

This is a fast-paced role where you will have a strong influence on supplier strategy, commercial value and winning new business.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.

n

• Work with Business Development to develop supply chain strategies for bids.

n

• Identify, engage and select suitable suppliers.

n

• Lead supplier engagement throughout the bid process.

n

• Support contract development and implementation.

n

• Contribute to bid planning, reporting and governance.

n

• Promote social value and responsible sourcing.

n

n

n

Requirements

n

n
• Experience supporting bids or proposals, ideally within defence, engineering or regulated environments.

n

• Strong supplier management and relationship-building experience.

n

• Proven negotiation skills and commercial awareness.

n

• Good understanding of contract law and procurement principles.

n

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

n

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

n

Desirable

n

n
• CIPS Level 5 or working towards it.

n

• WorldCC or similar commercial qualification.

n

• Knowledge of ITAR, EAR or international trade compliance.

n

n

n

Security Clearance

n

UK citizenship is required.

n

You must be able to obtain and maintain UK Government SC security clearance.
