Solicitor (Banking & Finance) NQ – 5PQE

Nixon McQuade are working with a leading International law firm to recruit a NQ- 5 PQE Solicitor to join its Banking & Finance team in Belfast.

The Role

• Assisting with a broad range of banking and finance transactions across a variety of sectors and financing arrangements.
• Drafting and reviewing corporate authorisations, security documents, transaction documents and ancillary documentation.
• Conducting company searches and supporting due diligence exercises.
• Managing conditions precedent processes and assisting with transaction completions.
• Reviewing and negotiating a range of finance and commercial documentation, including lending agreements, confidentiality agreements and other day-to-day legal documentation.
• Supporting commercial legal projects and working closely with clients to provide practical legal solutions.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across different legal teams to deliver high-quality client service.
• Supporting and, where appropriate, supervising junior team members.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant legal developments.
• Ensuring accurate time recording and compliance with internal procedures.

The Person

• NQ – 5 PQE with at least six months’ experience in Banking & Finance.
• Previous experience in banking and finance transactional work.
• Experience gained within a private practice law firm or in-house legal team is desirable.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A proactive and professional approach to client service.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn within a team environment.
