Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to be partnering with a leading technical manufacturer in Macclesfield that is looking to recruit a Commodity Buyer to join their Purchasing function.

This newly created role comes with fantastic benefits and work-life balance, including a 4.5 day working week with 12:30pm finish every Friday!

• 8am – 5pm (Mon-Thur) 8:30am – 12:30pm (Fri)

The Role

• Lead RFQ processes and negotiate Long Term Agreements to secure competitive, sustainable pricing
• Take ownership of purchase price variances and identify risk mitigation for sole/single sourced items
• Coordinate supplier performance reviews covering OTD, quality and capacity for growth
• Champion Design for Manufacture and Design for Cost during NPI
• Generate and present spend reviews, project updates and cost analysis to vendors and senior management
• Liaise closely with Commercial and Purchased Materials Planning to keep static data aligned to programme lifecycles

About You

• Previous experience within a similar role working within a technical manufacturing or engineering environment
• A track record running RFQ processes and negotiating contracts
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to distil complex data into clear insight
