Care Assistants – Autumn House Care

The Moorings is a warm, welcoming residential home supporting adults living with dementia, age-related conditions, physical disabilities, and other long‑term health needs. We pride ourselves on creating a safe, respectful, and homely environment where residents can enjoy the highest possible quality of life.

What You’ll Be Doing

• ? Providing personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene
• ? Supporting residents with toileting and continence care
• ? Assisting with mobility and safe moving & handling
• ? Helping residents enjoy nutritious meals and stay hydrated
• ? Providing companionship and emotional support
• ? Supporting people living with dementia using a person-centred approach
• ? Encouraging independence while promoting safety and wellbeing
• ? Taking residents on outings, appointments, and community trips
• ? Supporting activities that promote happiness and social engagement
• ? Recording care accurately and reporting any concerns to senior staff

Experience & QualificationsEssential

• A caring and positive attitude
• Good communication skills
• Right to work in the UK
• Willingness to complete training

Desirable

• Previous experience in Residential Care, Dementia Care, or Healthcare
• Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (or willingness to work towards it)
• Moving & Handling training
• Medication training
• Dementia care experience
