Paralegal – Startups, Commercial Law & Venture Capital (Full Time, Permanent)
Join our dynamic London-based team as a full-time Paralegal supporting some of the UK’s most exciting startups. This permanent role offers an immediate start, a salary of £27,000 and the chance to gain hands‑on experience across commercial, corporate, intellectual property and venture capital work.
What does the role involve?
You’ll work closely with our fee earners and clients on a wide range of legal matters. Your day-to-day work will include:
- Drafting commercial agreements and investment documentation
- Supporting on venture capital transactions (including SEIS/EIS compliance)
- Filing applications for UK, EU and international trademarks
- Preparing Companies House filings and maintaining statutory registers
- Assisting clients with data protection and GDPR compliance
- Working on tax incentive schemes for investors in startups
You’ll also be involved in the broader life of the firm, including:
- Conducting legal research and responding to client queries
- Supporting clients with instructions and maintaining strong communication
- Attending and presenting at seminars and events
- Helping to build our brand and acting as a firm ambassador
You don’t need prior experience in all these areas – we provide full training to help you develop your skills and confidence.
What we’re looking for:
- A law degree (2:1 or above preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational and time management skills
- A proactive, client‑focused approach
- A real interest in startups, business and commercial law
Experience in a similar role is a bonus but not essential. If you’re bright, enthusiastic and willing to learn, we want to hear from you.
We want you to grow with us. Our paralegals have gone on to secure training contracts, qualify as solicitors and take on more senior legal work at the firm. We’ll support your progression with mentoring, hands‑on training and regular feedback.
