About the Role
Veritas Education is proud to be working with a thriving secondary school in the Bradford area to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher for a full-time, long-term position starting in September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and well-established Science department where students are encouraged to develop curiosity, analytical thinking, and a passion for scientific discovery. The successful candidate will teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach their specialism at a higher level.
Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Teach Biology, Chemistry, and Physics as part of the wider curriculum
- Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with national curriculum expectations
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students
- Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
- Contribute to departmental planning and school enrichment activities
- Promote a positive attitude towards Science and learning
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has experience teaching Science within a secondary school setting
- Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for Science
- Has excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- Is committed to raising student attainment and achievement
- Works effectively as part of a team
- ECTs are encouraged to apply
