Job Summary

FoodChain ID is a global leader in delivering operational and service excellence across our Digital Solutions division for food safety, quality, compliance, and supply chain management. We’re seeking a results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing team and help fuel our sales pipeline through smart, innovative outreach strategies.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and manage inbound MQLs across our Enterprise and Industry Solutions divisions, ensuring timely follow-up, effective qualification, and progression
  • Engage prospects consultatively to understand their challenges, needs, and priorities, converting qualified interest into high-quality discovery calls
  • Take ownership of your discovery call quota, with performance primarily measured against qualified discovery calls successfully held
  • Supplement inbound activity with targeted outbound prospecting where required to achieve quota, using cold calling, social media, personalised email, and creative engagement tactics
  • Align closely with Account Executives to co-ordinate prospecting activity and ensure a smooth handoff of qualified prospects
  • Partner with Marketing to maximise conversion from campaigns and events, while providing feedback to continuously improve MQL quality and engagement
  • Build and manage effective automated cadences and follow-up journeys to maximise speed-to-lead, engagement, and conversion
  • Maintain accurate activity and lead data in Salesforce.

What We’re Looking For

  • Based in the United Kingdom
  • 1+ years in a Business Development, Sales, or SDR role in a SaaS or technology sales environment
  • Proven experience in cold prospecting and developing pipeline without relying solely on pre-qualified lists
  • Familiarity with tools like Salesforce, Apollo/Salesloft, ZoomInfo, or similar prospecting platforms
  • Creative and analytical thinker who’s comfortable working independently and optimizing performance based on metrics
  • Strong communicator with the ability to build rapport and spark curiosity in new prospects
  • Knowledge of the food and beverage industry would be ideal but not required.

This role reports to the Growth Marketing Director.

Why Join Us

You’ll be part of a fast-moving team where your work directly impacts growth and innovation. We value initiative, creative outreach, and team alignment – and we empower our BDRs to be more than just list diallers. This is your chance to stand out, grow fast, and make a measurable difference!

This is a remote role with occasional travel to events.
