Personal Assistant – 485274

I am a 76-year-old woman who lives in Dumfries and has a diagnosis of Bipolar Disorder (BPD), Parkinson’s Disease with subsequent dementia, Diabetes, Atrial Fibrillation, Osteoarthritis, Hypothyroidism and Kidney Disease (stage 4). Due to those serious and debilitating conditions, I am increasingly struggling to manage personal care tasks daily and although my husband is extremely helpful, he also requires much needed respite. I am looking for someone who can support me in my home with PC tasks and provide some respite for my husband.

Duties

• Support with PC tasks e.g. meals, showering, possibly getting out of bed and dressed, incontinence care occasionally
• Any support for client that falls under personal care or respite for main carer

Person Spec

Driver’s License preferred

• Reliable
• Experience in Adult Care
• Strong Character and sensitive to client’s needs and conditions
• Great sense of humour
• Ability to use own initiative
• Flexible
• Person-centred approach
• Must have a clean driving license
• Female only

Hours of work

2 hours per week can be flexible with days/times

Terms of the role

• £13.45 per hour
• Paid annual leave
• PVG required
